Plan a summer getaway to Minneapolis South – the gateway to the Twin Cities. Discover classic Midwestern summer fun with boating, biking, major 4th of July celebrations…and of course shopping!

Outdoor Fun

Nothing says summer like standup paddle boarding, hiking, and…skiing?

SUP Paddleboards Lakeville MM

Let’s start with Lake Marion, Crystal Lake, Casperson Park and Schulze Lake Beach. These are great places for fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, and SUPing (stand-up paddle boarding). The lakes have fishing piers, boat launches, and fun-in-the-sun swimming beaches! You can also find sand volleyball courts, horseshoes, and a swimming beach at Antlers Park.

Now, take a hike! Have an adventure in the Caponi Art Park. Explore the beautiful trails and enjoy world class sculptures for the perfect marriage of nature and creativity! There’s also plenty of golf to keep you busy in Eagan, Burnsville, and Lakeville – which has over 100 miles of paved hiking/biking trails, equestrian trails, and bird watching activities.

Last but not least, ski this summer (or any time of year)! Buck Hill offers a unique synthetic mat that allows adrenaline-chasers the chance to ski all year long.
